Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant Specialist I for a floater position at Feinberg/Galter; FL 01. The role works 24 hours weekly with an evening shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) and every other weekend/holiday. Non-exempt with overtime eligibility.

Starting benefits available after the first of the month following start date. The incumbent will assist the supervisor, perform general and heavy cleaning of operating rooms, public areas, offices and patient rooms, and maintain

Qualifications

• Ability to understand oral instructions.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• One to two years of housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vacuums carpeted surfaces and damp mops hard floors.
• Assists supervisor in orienting new housekeeping staff.
• Performs general and heavy cleaning in offices, patient rooms, labs and public areas.
