Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an EVS Tech II to support hospital cleaning and patient room turnover on 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM shifts, including weekends as needed. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to isolation procedures, and efficient use of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Must be able to use the proper tracking and communication tools utilized by department.
• Must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains patient rooms, offices, public areas, treatment rooms, and other assigned areas daily.
• Follows isolation and contact precautions policies when necessary.
• Stocks paper items and supplies in assigned areas.
• Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores it properly.
• Promotes safety using wet floor signs and PPE; does not leave supplies unattended.
