Job summary

UCHealth Emergency Greeley in Greeley, CO is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform sonography in accordance with scope and standards. The role is onsite with evenings shifts, full-time hours, and a competitive pay range.

The selected candidate will review histories, prepare and administer contrast as needed, ensure patient understanding, and maintain equipment safety and image quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Implements safety standards and performs quality control on equipment. Troubleshoots malfunctions and positions patient for imaging.
• Enters, transmits and reports scan results. May work with Radiology students.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
