Job summary

Avamere at Hermiston is hiring a Medication Tech to administer medications and provide direct care to residents in a memory care/assisted living setting. The role operates on an evening shift with a rotating schedule, on-site at 980 West Highland Ave, Hermiston, OR 97838.

Responsibilities include medication administration, accurate record-keeping in EMR, and collaboration with licensed staff to ensure resident safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Caregiver/Medication Tech experience in Memory Care or Assisted Living.
• CPR/First Aid certification required during employment.
• Ability to obtain Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive and professional demeanor with residents.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications as per physician orders under RN supervision.
• Record medications accurately in resident records.
• Notify pharmacy or family when refills are needed.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Monitor and report side effects to Health Services Director.
• Document changes in residents’ status in EMR.
• Follow care plans and communicate with healthcare providers.
