Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Senior Technician in Nutrition Services in Grand Rapids. You will supervise shifts, ensure high quality nutrition service, and train staff to uphold safety and patient-centered care.

You will coordinate tray assembly, monitor temperatures, and participate in quality assurance activities. The role emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and compliance with dietary standards in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 6 months of relevant experience in food service, preferably in a health care setting.
• CFP - ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift and work directly alongside staff in a shift lead role.
• Train staff and assist as department lead as needed, providing oversight and support.
• Maintain serving lines and properly store, refrigerate and date food items.
• Monitor quality and safety through temperatures and related QA activities.
• Assemble patient trays meeting dietary requirements with speed and accuracy.
• Reallocate staff during staffing shortages and ensure smooth operations.
• Develop and uphold department policies and staff training.
• Deliver training for new hires on diet standards and workflows.
• Respond to patient, staff, nursing, and visitor inquiries.
