Hebrew SeniorLife is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support residents with daily living activities in an on-site setting. The role emphasizes compassion, independence, and teamwork to sustain a home-like environment while maintaining high-quality care.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, documenting care in the EMR, recognizing changes in resident condition, and participating in training and quality improvement initiatives.

Formación

• MA Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
• Fluent English skills required – verbal and written.
• BLS/CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Computer literacy required.
• Must complete mandatory HSL/HRC educational requirements and programs.
• Pass nursing assistant skills test with 70% or greater.

Responsabilidades

• Recognize and respond to residents' and families' needs.
• Recognize and communicate changes in residents' condition to the nursing team.
• Adhere to Safe Patient Handling practices and maintain a no-manual-lift environment.
• Participate in Quality Improvement programs.
• Assist residents with all aspects of personal care as indicated in care plans.
• Document care in the designated areas of the resident's EMR.
• Report accidents and incidents promptly.
• Report observed or suspected resident abuse immediately.
• Observe and report skin integrity.
• Participate in daily report and care planning meetings as needed.
• Be proficient in obtaining vital signs and procedures such as temp, pulse, respirations, BP, weight, glucose, pulse oximetry and urine/stool samples.
• Perform electrocardiograms and bladder scans.
• Follow infection control practices.
• Attend and participate in ongoing training and educational classes.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy per HIPAA.
• Communicate effectively with peers, residents, families.
• Facilitate life enrichment activities that engage residents.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas.
• Prepare, serve, and clean up after meals and snacks.
• Participate in committee meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
