Job summary
Allina Health in Minnesota is seeking a certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in a 0.8 FTE position. Shifts are day/evening with 8-hour blocks, starting times 7:00am-3:30pm or 3:00pm-11:30pm, with every-other weekend rotation and potential float to telemetry or med/surg units based on staffing needs.
Under RN supervision, you will assist with personal care, document vital signs, help with transfers, and support patient comfort and safety in a compassionate environment.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older, or 17 with HS diploma/GED.
- Completion of CNA program or clinical rotations within accredited nursing program, or completion of Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy.
- Previous direct patient care experience accepted.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross, or Allina in-house training within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Assist in delivery of patient care under RN supervision, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and linen changes.
- Collects and documents vital signs and observations; helps with ambulation, transfers, and ROM per care plan.
- Provides assistance with admission, transfer, discharge, and post-mortem care; supports patient comfort and safety.
