Qualifications

• NYS Registered Nurse License is required.
• Clinical practice experience with adult/aging population in a clinical setting.
• An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree is required.
• Two years of supervisory experience in a health care facility is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in developing an effective reporting system across shifts.
• Collaborate with Nurse/Managers to supervise and manage staff on the assigned shift.
• Supervise and evaluate residents' care needs, ensuring staffing, supplies, equipment, and safe environment.
• Ensure rights of residents are protected and promoted by all staff.
• Coordinate with professionals and departments to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Provide role modeling and act as a preceptor for student nurses.
• Be accessible to residents, families, and visitors to address concerns promptly.
• Assist in identifying in-service needs and implementing orientation programs.
