Job summary

Southeast Missouri Residential Services, a State of Missouri facility in Poplar Bluff, is seeking a Support Care Assistant to provide one-on-one care for our consumers. The role involves hands-on care, monitoring, and support for daily activities and treatment plans.

The position requires 1–2 years of relevant experience, being at least 18 years old, passing a background check, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Shifts run 7:00 pm–7:00 am with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass a background screening.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of basic nursing, first aid and emergency treatments.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on, direct care to clients including observations and monitoring.
• Assist clients with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Schedule and supervise in the absence of the Supervising Assistant.
• Develop or implement habilitation or treatment plans.
• Teach or assist in developing client self-help, play, education, and social skills.
• Assist with basic health care, including checking vital signs and tracking intake/output.
• Maintain client records and report on client condition.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
