The State of Missouri is seeking a Support Care Assistant to join our nursing team providing one-on-one care to consumers. Shifts available: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm – 7:00 am, with mandatory overtime to meet facility needs.

The ideal candidate has experience with developmentally disabled individuals, a strong work ethic, and an active interest in helping consumers. A high school diploma or GED, a valid driver license, and the ability to obtain Level One Medication Aide certification within

• Hands-on, direct care to clients including observations, treatment, and monitoring.
• First-level direct care services to include assisting clients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing, and other related tasks.
• Must pass Level One Medication Aide certification within one month of assignment.
• Must pass a background screening.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver license.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).
• Knowledge of general care and treatment of clients, including basic nursing, first aid and emergency treatments.

Responsabilidades

• Hands on, direct care to clients including observations, treatment, and monitoring.
• First-level direct care services to include assisting clients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing, and other related tasks.
• Develop and/or implement habilitation or treatment plans.
• Teach or assist in developing client skills related to self-help, play, education, and socialization.
• Assist and/or provide basic health care for clients such as checking vital signs, height, and weight.
• Collects and maintains records of fluid intake and output, and reports on condition of clients.
