Job summary

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking an Emergency Shelter Coordinator for swing shifts. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One-year experience performing Customer Service or Social Service work is desirable.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Windows platform required.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Emergency Shelter intake, enrollment, and data collection at Emergency Shelter intake/reception center.
• Make entries to client files and entries in the program database on a daily basis.
• Assist clients by managing use of services, and expediting service delivery through linkage activities.
• Facilitate and coordinate supportive activities with case management, including employment assistance programs, job readiness training, and financial education.
• Establish and maintain resources.
• Review programs and eligibility requirements, outreach to current and potential partner agencies, monitoring social action, data collection and program evaluation.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for homeless men and staff.
• Maintain awareness of situations that may result in safety hazards or property damage, and notify the supervisor on duty.
• Performs other related duties as required.
