Job summary

Quality Correctional Care (QCC) is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide compassionate and holistic nursing care at the Allen County Correctional Center in Fort Wayne. The role includes medication administration, intakes, sick-call responses, wound care, and chronic disease management under supervision of medical providers.

Must maintain pharmacology knowledge and adhere to laws and regulations. Evening shifts (6pm-6am) two shifts per week) and competitive pay within the local market.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required
• Current CPR certification required
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to push/pull/reach/bend frequently
• Lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to inmates.
• Administer medications and perform intakes.
• Respond to sick call requests and follow up with providers.
• Change dressings as directed; perform 14-day physicals.
• Manage chronic care and provide patient education.
• Respond to medical emergencies with life-saving measures when needed
• Provide guidance to Medically Trained Personnel and ensure regulatory compliance
