Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• Knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process and behavioral health nursing.
• Understanding of continuum of care for behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for psychiatric patients and educate patients and families.
• Record and monitor patient histories, administer treatments and medications.
• Assist with diagnostic tests, therapeutic groups, crisis intervention, and follow-up care.
• Educate patients on illness management, lifestyle, and self-care.
