Sharp HealthCare in Southern California is hiring a Nursing Assistant to collaborate with the interprofessional team in delivering quality patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. You will help with admissions, transfers, and daily patient care, while respecting age-specific needs and unit routines.

The role requires AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals and an H.S. diploma, with prior geriatric or acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• AHA BLS is REQUIRED.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience in geriatric or acute care setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Admissions, discharge and transfer: prepares room, greets patient and family, orients patient, inventories belongings, and updates as needed.
• Transports patient to activities, therapies and other departments on time and safely.
• Under RN guidance, enters orders related to equipment and supplies to ensure accuracy.
• Discharges: removes equipment and prepares room for next admission.
• Provides and documents daily patient care within unit standards.
• Maintains patient safety, follows infection control policies and universal precautions.
• Communicates plans for transfer or discharge and seeks clarification when needed.
