Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in California is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the interprofessional team and deliver quality patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. You will support age-specific needs and contribute to the overall unit functions.

The role requires AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ideally one year of geriatric or acute care experience. Shift is 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with an 8/40 schedule, and weekend rotation every other week;

Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support certification is required.
• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of geriatric or acute care experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Admissions, Discharge and Transfer responsibilities on the unit.
• Greet patients and families on admission and set up rooms.
• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Follow safety and infection control policies; document care activities.
• Coordinate with team to manage workload and resources.
