Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Current, active LPN license.
Experience in long-term geriatric nursing care preferred.
Current CPR certification.
Proficient in English for reading, interpreting technical information and clear communication.

Responsibilities

Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, and treatments.
Record time spent performing treatments in the medication/treatment record.
Ensure proper storage and security of prescription drugs and biologics.
Notify physician of refusal, non-compliance, and adverse reactions with prompt reporting.
Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat and properly stored.
Ensure disposal of sharps is handled safely.
Enter key information into EMR and computer systems.
Practice infection control and safety policies and procedures.
React appropriately to emergencies and disasters.
Perform other duties as assigned.
