Job summary

Georgia Tech's Housing and Residence Life seeks a skilled trades technician to perform basic maintenance and repair across campus facilities. The role involves maintenance of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems, plus installing fixtures and supporting remodels.

You will interact with the unit supervisor and staff to ensure safe, functional living spaces. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED certificate, or vocational school diploma.
• Two to three years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings, fixtures, machines, and note required maintenance.
• Perform basic maintenance on appliances, plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems.
• Install fixtures, ceilings, tiles, locks, glass, and doors.
• Fabricate and finish walls, shelving, cabinets, and storage areas for renovations.
• Coordinate work by contractors for maintenance and construction.
• May provide design input.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
