Job summary

Sentara is seeking an MRI Technologist for the Advanced Imaging Center in Chesapeake. The role focuses on high-quality MRI examinations, administering contrast per protocol, and ensuring patient safety through proper screening.

Collaboration with physicians and radiology staff is essential for accurate imaging and documentation. Candidates should have ALD Radiologic Sciences or equivalent certification and ARRT MR certification, with at least 1 year of x-ray experience to cross-train.

Qualifications

• ALD Radiologic Sciences or Trade School Certification.
• ARRT MR Certification required for MRI work.
• 1 year x-ray experience to cross train.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality MRI imaging to patients under physician supervision.
• Administer MRI contrast per protocol and ensure safety screening.
• Review patient records for accuracy and evaluate implants/devices.
• Explain examinations to patients and maintain departmental documentation.
• Coordinate with physicians and care staff to ensure smooth workflow.
