Job summary

Sentara's Advanced Imaging Center in Chesapeake, VA, seeks an MRI Technologist to provide high-quality MRI imaging under physician direction. Responsibilities include safety screening, contrast administration, and image review to ensure accuracy before interpretation.

Required ARRT certification with at least 1 year of x-ray experience for cross-training. Excellent documentation and patient communication are essential in a fast-paced radiology department.

Qualifications

• MRI Imaging knowledge and protocol adherence.
• Ability to evaluate patient MRI safety screening forms.
• Familiarity with MRI safety zones and equipment.
• Good record keeping and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams per protocol and obtain quality images.
• Review patient records and implants via vendor resources.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain consent when required.
• Maintain patient records and departmental documentation.
