Job summary

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC seeks an MRI technologist to provide high-quality imaging under physician supervision. The role includes administering MRI contrast, safety screening, and reviewing implants using vendor resources.

You will liaise with physicians and care staff, maintain patient records, and ensure accurate, ready-for-interpretation imaging. Requires ARRT MR, ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school certification, and a minimum of 1 year x-ray experience.

Qualifications

• Certification in Radiologic Technology (ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school).
• ARRT MR licensure required.
• Minimum 1 year x-ray experience to cross-train.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality MRI imaging to patients under physician supervision.
• Administer MRI contrast per protocol and ensure safety screening is complete.
• Review patient records and implants/devices through vendor resources.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain informed consent when needed.
• Maintain patient records, reports and departmental documentation.
• Review imaging for accuracy and quality before interpretation.
