Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MR exams, including basic cardiac procedures, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will ensure accurate patient data and proficient use of EPIC/PACS, supporting a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient flow. The role emphasizes MR safety, patient care, collaboration with clinicians, and ongoing education to stay current with technology and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR eligible; certification must be maintained.
• Minimum 1 year MR imaging experience preferred.
• Ability to perform MR procedures according to department standards.
• Adheres to MR safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Produce exams meeting image quality with correct patient info and EPIC/PACS documentation.
• Communicate schedule changes to all parties via Voalte or phone.
• Provide department coverage including call/holiday shifts.
• Ensure quality control and monitor scanner capacity and image quality.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, radiologists and others to ensure patient flow.
