Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks a strategic MRI Manager to oversee day-to-day MRI operations, lead staff development, and ensure high-quality pediatric imaging. You will collaborate with executives to manage budgets, coordinate staffing, and drive safety and compliance across the modality.

The role requires healthcare leadership experience, ARRT/MR certification, and strong analytical and communication skills in a fast-paced pediatric setting.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare leadership or equivalent managerial experience.
• Current ARRT, NMTCB, or SDMS certification and IEMA license (as applicable).
• ARRT Advanced certification required for CT/IR and MR.
• Basic Life Support Certification (AHA CPR) required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees modality-specific activities in medical imaging and directs MRI operations.
• Develops staffing plans based on volume and schedules.
• Leads orientation, competency standards, and ongoing staff training.
• Manages customer service, quality initiatives, and performance metrics.
• Supports budget planning and equipment replacement strategies.
• Ensures MR safety and regulatory compliance.
