Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or MT for full-time second shift (10:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m., Monday–Friday; off Wednesdays). You will perform routine lab work on blood, urine, and tissue samples, analyze results, and ensure timely reporting.

The role emphasizes maintaining equipment and sharing knowledge with colleagues. Qualified candidates have an Associate degree in Laboratory Science/MLT or equivalent training and must obtain MLT certification within 12 months of

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Laboratory Science or MLT required.
• Alternative: military training of 50+ weeks as Medical Laboratory Specialist.
• 60 semester hours with 24 science/MLT courses or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine lab procedures on blood, urine, and tissue samples.
• Analyze results to determine disease presence or cause; report findings timely.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment; educate staff as needed.
