Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related science required.
• Registered Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by ASCP required.
• 1–3 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize daily workload.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Mandatory OSHA training.

Responsabilités

• Performs technical procedures within the department accurately and precisely following policies.
• Enters test results accurately in the laboratory information system.
• Calls “critical value” or patient waiting results within 10 minutes and documents actions.
• Evaluates results to determine technical accuracy of tests.
• Oversees the work of a medical laboratory technician and establishes QA programs.
• Maintains current knowledge of department processes and participates in continuous education.
