The Laboratory Scientist/MLS/CLS/MT – Chemistry – Evenings role at Virginia Commonwealth University Health in Richmond, VA requires a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and national certification. The position performs high-complexity testing, maintains equipment, and ensures CAP/JCAHO accreditation standards are met.

You will work evenings with rotating weekends and on-call availability, participate in quality control, train staff, and support patient care through accurate, timely

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from an NAACLS-accredited program.
• Licensure/certification as MLS/MT/CLS by ASCP/NCA/AMT or equivalent.
• Ability to work rotating weekends and on-call as required.
• Experience in a hospital lab performing high-complexity testing preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs laboratory tests according to established procedures.
• Operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and validates lab equipment.
• Performs, documents quality control, and follows quality assurance guidelines.
• Assists in educating and training laboratory personnel, students, and residents.
• Maintains laboratory supplies and inventory.
• May perform specimen collection, processing and phlebotomy as applicable.
