Job summary

ALVERNO in Hammond, IN is seeking a Central Laboratory - Microbiology technician for 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM shifts with weekend/holiday rotation. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Twelve (12) to eighteen (18) months of related experience is preferred.
• Background in medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is required.

Responsibilities

• This individual is responsible for specimen processing and the analysis, evaluation and reporting of waived and moderately complex laboratory test results, in accordance with established departmental procedures and professional standards, to provide appropriate specimens and accurate data in a timely manner.
