Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous specimen processing experience in a microbiology or clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• Proficiency in LIS and Microsoft Office essential.
• Scheduling: Full-Time Evening Shift, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and accession microbiology specimens in LIS promptly.
• Assess specimen integrity and alert personnel to discrepancies.
• Perform labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, and media plate preparation under biosafety guidelines.
• Inoculate culture media as instructed by protocols.
• Maintain logs and chain-of-custody for timely testing.
• Deliver specimens to testing benches; keep work area clean and safe.
• Adhere to PPE and biosafety standards; assist with inventory and QA.
