Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months of laboratory or clinical experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication with medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders and input patient and test information into HIS/LIS.
• Resolve discrepancies in patient identifiers and orders.
• Unload specimens and assess by standard requirements.
• Document quality issues and inform staff to ensure proper disposal.
• Operate laboratory equipment and perform basic maintenance when possible.
• Answer calls, fax reports, and manage specimen sending with proper records.
• File, scan, and support clerical tasks for testing referrals.
