Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of related experience or training preferred.
• 2-3 years of sales, reception and computer skills preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service desk operations including opening/closing, phones, POS, guest check-in, passes, and information.
• Promote and effectively sell memberships and ancillary services.
• Schedule all appointments via core business software (Compete), with reminders and notifications.
• Balance drawers and knowledge of credit card and check policies.
• Enroll members via contract, explain membership, obtain signature and payment, and provide member handbook.
• Effective radio communication with all departments as needed.
• Work towards satisfaction metrics via Secret Shops and Member Survey scores.
• Maintain an average of 5 working shifts per month.
• Must be able to stand for 3–6 hours per shift.
• Other duties as assigned.
