Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, through Ivy Living’s Salinas community, seeks a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in administering medications per nursing standards and to provide direct personal care. You will work with staff to promote resident activity and safety.

Responsibilities include preparing meds, coordinating with pharmacies and physicians, maintaining records, and supporting teamwork. Qualifications include 1 year RCFE med aid experience (state rules may apply), 18+, HS diploma

Qualifications

• One year of experience assisting with medications in a RCFE (state regulation dependent).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Pass background check and health screening incl. TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with staff and departments.
