Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, based in Irvine, California, operates Oakmont Senior Living communities and is seeking a Medication Technician in Santa Rosa. The role involves supervising and assisting in the administration of medications to residents, and providing direct personal care while supporting activities and coordinating with staff.

The position requires experience or training related to medication management, 18+ years of age, and strong customer service and communication skills to interact

Qualifications

• Prefer at least 1 year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Completion of training/certification may be required by state regulation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal communication with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.
• Vaccination and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacies, and physicians.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
