Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living in Laguna Woods, CA, is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in administering medications to residents in accordance with nursing standards and company policies. You will prepare and distribute medications, coordinate with pharmacies and physicians, maintain accurate records, and support residents with personal care while promoting safety and quality care.

This role requires at least 1 year of medication assistance experience in RCFE, ability to pass

Qualifications

• Preferred 1 year of experience assisting with medication at a RCFE.
• Completion of required training/certification may be required by state regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including TB).
• Vaccination and PPE requirements per regulatory guidelines may apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.
