Job summary

Oakmont Management Group's Ivy Park at Monterey in California is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in administering medications to residents, following nursing standards. You will coordinate with pharmacy and physicians, maintain accurate records, and promote resident safety and engagement.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of RCFE medication assistance experience, be 18+, possess a HS diploma, and pass background checks, with MS Office skills and a customer-service

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience assisting with medication in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• State regulations may require completion of training/certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• HS diploma or equivalent; LVN may be a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and their needs.
• Written and verbal communication skills with staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Must pass background check and health screenings (TB, etc.).
• Vaccination and PPE requirements may apply per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacies, and physicians.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork and cooperative interactions across departments.
