Job summary

Oakmont Management Group in Irvine, California, seeks a Medication Technician for Ivy Park at Monterey to supervise and assist in medication administration and provide direct personal care to residents within nursing standards and established policies.

Responsibilities include preparing and distributing medications, coordinating with pharmacies and physicians, maintaining confidential records, and supporting a safe, team-oriented environment; prior RCFE experience preferred, and MS Office skills

Qualifications

• Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication in RCFE settings or similar.
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
