Job summary

Artis Senior Living of Somers is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to ensure safe medication administration for residents and to support daily living activities in a dementia-care setting. The role emphasizes accuracy, empathy, and teamwork within a compassionate care community.

You will document changes, maintain medication safety, and assist with mobility and daily tasks. A high school diploma and relevant certifications are preferred, with ongoing education encouraged to meet state

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• RMP certificate preferred.
• CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide certification is preferred, but not required.
• Fulfill and maintain continuing education credits as required by State.
• Must be willing to obtain and/or maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record the administration of medications for residents as prescribed by the physician.
• Observe, document, and communicate changes in resident status to nurses and administration.
• Monitor medications to ensure accountability during ordering, receipt, administration and shift changes.
• Store medications safely and in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, grooming and eating as per service plan.
