Job summary

Qualifications

• Externship in a CLIA laboratory.
• Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or related field.
• Medical Technologist certification or CLIA high complexity qualification; ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity testing accurately and precisely according to established procedure without direct supervision.
• Post-analytically validates results and investigates deviations, trends, and corrective actions.
• Performs, reviews and documents quality control and pre-analytical processes (patient ID, phlebotomy, specimen labeling, receipt and shipment).
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory equipment.
• Provides outstanding customer service through effective communication.
