Job summary

Virtua Health is hiring a Medical Technician MLT/MT to join the Voorhees, NJ lab team. This on-site role supports the 2nd shift with evening hours and every-other weekend requirements.

The position analyzes, interprets and validates lab results in Chemistry and Hematology, with a strong emphasis on quality control and patient care. A CLIA externship and ASCP certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum externship in a CLIA laboratory.
• Good interpersonal and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity testing accurately and precisely according to established procedure without direct supervision.
• Post analytically, validates results and investigates deviations.
• Performs, reviews and documents all quality control according to established policies and procedures.
• Pre-analytical processes including patient ID, phlebotomy, specimen labeling and verification.
• Operates, maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment and provides outstanding customer service.
