Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist for a 13-week assignment in State College, PA. You will perform accurate analyses of blood and body fluids, maintain proficiency across departments, and ensure timely reporting of results.

Work 40 hours per week, day shifts, with potential extension. A Bachelor's degree and MT/MLS certification are required; Blood Bank and Microbiology experience are preferred. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current MT/MLS certification through ASCP, AMT, NCCLS, or equivalent is required.
• Blood Bank and Microbiology experience preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple clinical laboratory departments.
• Strong attention to detail with specimen identification and result verification.
• Ability to troubleshoot laboratory instruments and procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to laboratory quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory analyses on blood and other body fluids.
• Maintain proficiency across all clinical laboratory departments.
• Prepare, identify, log, and process specimens accurately.
• Perform manual and automated testing and promptly report results.
• Review results for accuracy and consistency with previous data.
• Troubleshoot instrument and procedural issues with escalation as needed.
• Perform specimen collection with strict patient identification.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and supplies.
