Job summary

Henry Ford Jackson is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join a high-volume lab environment in Jackson, Michigan. You will perform routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and body fluids, using manual techniques and automated instruments, under general supervision.

The position emphasizes collaboration with leadership, process improvement, and compliance with CAP and safety standards, while adapting to a dynamic, evolving lab with new automation and updated instrumentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum six months of medical laboratory experience.
• Certification from ASCP/AMT/ASM/ABCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex analytic tests on blood and body fluids.
• Monitor instrument performance and perform QC.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve processes and CAP readiness.
• Maintain compliance with safety, privacy, and accreditation standards.
• Contribute to LEAN initiatives and automation projects.
