Job summary

Henry Ford Health Jackson hospital campus in mid-Michigan is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician to join our clinical team. The role involves performing select procedures on blood and body fluids and supporting lab operations to deliver accurate patient results.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
• Alternatively, successful completion of an Associates or Bachelors degree with at least 5 college courses from specified sciences (e.g., Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.) orCompletion of a military 50-60 week technician program and meets the minimum CLIA requirements.

• Perform select procedures on blood and other body fluids using manual techniques or laboratory instruments.
• Utilize laboratory information systems to ensure accurate and efficient processing of specimens.
• Conduct phlebotomy as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
• Alternatively, successful completion of an Associates or Bachelors degree with at least 5 college courses from specified sciences (e.g., Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.) orCompletion of a military 50-60 week technician program and meets the minimum CLIA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• MLT certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).
