Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our fast-growing clinical laboratory team serving Macomb County communities. You will perform routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and body fluids, ensuring accurate and timely results to support patient care.

The role emphasizes quality improvement, research, and adoption of new technologies, with opportunities to teach and lead laboratory functions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Medical Technology, or related sciences.
Three years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
Certification at technologist or MLS level from a recognized agency (e.g., ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS, or HEW).

Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and other body fluids using manual techniques and laboratory instruments.
Ensure consistent quality by establishing standard work and implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
Participate in applied research and development projects to introduce new technology and improved methods.
Teach and lead laboratory functions, demonstrating technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge.
