Job summary
Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking a Tech/MLT to perform waived and non-waived analysis of patient specimens under the Technical Coordinator. You will support the Laboratory Services and align with hospital policies, contributing to service excellence and quality improvement across the department.
The role requires an associate degree in a related science, 1 year of experience preferred, and ASCP/AMT/NCA certification or eligibility.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Associate degree in medical technology, biology, chemistry, or related science preferred.
- Minimum Work Experience: One year experience preferred.
- Certifications: ASCP, AMT, and/or NCA preferred or eligible.
- Mathematical, computer, reasoning and language skills at the college level required.
Responsibilities
- Performs waived and non-waived complexity analysis of patient specimens for diagnostic purposes.
- Ensures compliance with hospital policies and department procedures.
- Maintains quality control data and instrument maintenance.
- Participates in safety programs and performance improvement activities.
- Contributes to policy and procedure reviews and revisions.
