Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related science; Certification is not required.
• Associate degree requires certification (NCA, AMT, ASCP, HEW, and CLA) within 12 months.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Working knowledge of laboratory testing equipment and routine maintenance.
• Ability to maintain quality control and other records.
• Working knowledge of computers and laboratory safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory testing on patient specimens under direction.
• Provide information for diagnosis and treatment as needed.
• Maintain records of performance and generate acceptable test results.
• Perform tasks according to standard operating procedures.
• Assist with development and modification of procedures; support management and lab director.
