Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian is hiring a full-time Laboratory Support Technician, Medical Laboratory Technician, or Medical Laboratory Scientist to support the Microbiology Lab on the evening shift (3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.).

The role includes rotating weekend and holiday responsibilities and offers the chance to impact life-changing medicine within a large, integrated system. Applicants will be placed based on education and experience; MLS/MLT salary starts at $23.44/hour and Lab Support Technician at

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MLS/Medical Laboratory Science or related certification.
• ASCP or MLT certification preferred/required depending on role.
• Experience with laboratory information systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for collection and processing of specimens for analysis with precision and timeliness.
• Recognize critical/abnormal results and act per protocols.
• Maintain equipment and perform quality control checks and calibration.
