Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join the Core Lab at Baptist Downtown Jacksonville. This full-time role supports an evening shift and involves working with chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, hematology, and serology.

You will supervise MLTs as General Supervisor, instruct new staff, and maintain records per SOPs, under directorate supervision, in a collaborative lab team of 7-8 MTs and 4 Specimen Processors.

Qualifications

• 2 years Medical Technologist Experience.
• Associate's Degree Required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
• Licensed Medical Technologist or Licensed Medical Laboratory Technician Required/Preferred.
• State licensure in Florida for Chemistry and Hematology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expertise and perform technical, specimen processing, LIS, and clerical tasks in lab areas.
• Keep records of performance as per SOPs.
• Supervise MLTs as General Supervisor; serve as Charge Technologist in absence of other supervisors.
