Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help create a positive healthcare experience daily.

The role involves welcoming patients, recording histories and vitals, assisting with exams and tests, and coordinating care across teams. Training and CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an MA program and externship/internship.
• EMT or Paramedic training; or Certified Athletic Trainer.
• MA credentials (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC) preferred.
• Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
