Job summary

Jackson County Intermediate Schools is seeking an Anticipated Instructor-Medical Assistant for Adult Career Enrichment to develop curriculum and teach adult learners the skills required of a medical assistant. The role is part-time with evening sessions (Mon-Thu, 5pm-9pm) and an hourly pay rate of $35.89, with no fringe benefits.

Employment date is as soon as possible, with a deadline for applications by October 20, 2026.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Holding CMA/LPN/RN license or at least 5 years of clinical medical experience is required.
• Teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teaches the approved curriculum and ensures delivery.
• Plans a program of study to meet adult learners' needs.
• Creates a conducive learning environment for adult students.
• Teaches using clear objectives and measures progress with reports.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and district policy.
• Maintains facilities, equipment, and inventory and notifies administration when maintenance is needed.
