Job summary

Ross Education Holdings, Inc. in Merrillville, IN is seeking experienced Medical Assistants to become part-time instructors for year-round morning and evening classes. Classes run 8:30–1, 1–5:30, and 5:30–10 with instruction for up to 24 students per session.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in medical assisting, formal training, and the ability to obtain national certification. This campus-based role supports instructors and substitutes as needed, with a pay schedule aligned to monthly deposits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in the medical assisting field and formal training from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to obtain a national certification as medical assistant.
• Interest in teaching or prior teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Medical Assisting classroom with a maximum of 24 students.
• Class sessions are 4.5 hours in day or evening blocks.
• Deliver lectures and demonstrations using Ross curriculum and lesson plans.
• Part-time role typically 9–18 hours per week; cover primary and secondary instructor duties as needed.
