Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time Technician I at Midstate Correctional Facility in Wrightstown, NJ. You will participate as a member of the clinical and administrative medical team, performing basic nursing tasks and assisting providers.

Requirements include CMA, EMT, or CNA certification, CPR, and a valid driver’s license, with at least two years of related healthcare experience.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum two years of related healthcare experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Aufgaben

• Takes vital signs, height and weight and documents in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Assists the physician/advanced practitioner with procedures, including preparing the inmate for the examination.
• Obtains specimen collection and handling, including, but not limited to, drawing blood.
• Assists with the cleaning, sterilization and securing of equipment within the Health Service Unit.
• Maintains or assists in maintaining the supply stock in the Health Service Unit by ordering in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Aggregates the orders of all medications and forwards to the pharmacy provider / local pharmacy.
