Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting is required.
• 1 year of caregiving/med passing experience is required.
• Med Tech Certification must be approved through AHCA.
• Provide proof of original certification and all annual 2-hour trainings.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of independence while assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the RN per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed; report changes to the RN.
• Document services performed in the computerized charting system.
• Observe residents and report changes in physical or emotional condition to the supervisor.
• Assist with personal care including hair washing, showering/bathing, nail and foot care, and medication administration.
• Complete light housekeeping duties as needed; perform additional tasks as needed.
